Finca Chalabal is multi award winning farm in Chimaltenango in the Acatenango, Valley, roughly 85 km from Guatemala City. 1300mm annual rainfall, loamy, sandy soils and 65% humidity play their part in this lovely coffee. Owned by the García Soto family, Finca Chalabal has 201 hectares under coffee cultivation and 204 hectares of pine forest. Growing coffee is very personal for the family; Julio Cesar, Jaime and Julio José are all involved in every aspect, from seedling nurseries to processing. Finca Chalabal are highly innovative in terms of varietals and are currently nurturing a number of new seedlings including Geisha, Pachamama, Bourbon, Catuai, Pache Comun.
